Vania is a recreation of the masterful work of Anton Chéjov (Russia, 1860-1904) Uncle Vania (1897), in monologous format. Simon Stephens has moved Chéjov's classic to the present day, taking him away from Tsarist Russia to offer a contemporary, intimate and deeply human revival.
