Binitord

Binitord is a winery located in the municipality of Ciutadella de Menorca, founded in 2007 with a clear goal: to recover and promote the island’s winemaking tradition through high-quality wines. Its project combines respect for the land, sustainability and a slow, careful way of working, in tune with the rhythm of Menorca. The vineyard, with several hectares of land and thousands of vines, grows varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Monastrell, Garnacha and Tempranillo for red wines, and Chardonnay, Malvasia, Moscatell, Prensal Blanc and Macabeo for white wines. Work in the vineyard is carried out artisanally, prioritising care for the product from its origin. One of Binitord’s most distinctive features is its partially underground winery, recovered from old marés sandstone quarries, which naturally maintain a constant temperature, creating optimal conditions for wine ageing. This balance between tradition and technology is completed with the use of modern equipment that guarantees precision in the production process. The winery produces different types of wine - red, white and rosé - as well as a Menorcan vermouth macerated with herbs, many of them Mediterranean. Its wines have been recognised in international competitions and specialised guides, consolidating its position within the island’s wine scene. Binitord offers guided visits to the winery and direct sales at the estate, allowing visitors to discover its philosophy and production process first-hand. A place where wine is understood as an expression of the territory, made with respect, consistency and passion.
